Tough Times Dont Last
Tough Times Don’t last
(But Blessed People Do)

First, came “The Widow Maker,”
three days later, Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
Only eight percent survive,
this terrifying test.
I lay comatose for five days,
facing my final just rewards.
But the battle wasn’t mine,
it was the Lord’s.
Doctors had told my wife,
it’s unlikely he’ll survive.
But Jesus threw me a rope,
and two years later, I’m alive.
I keep telling my story,
hoping it never gets stale,
About God rescuing me,
from the belly of my whale.
Doctors started referring to me as the Protected one,
Miracle man, a fighter, and one even referred to me as Lazarus.
God is Good!
The more times my mind rehearses this
the stronger my faith becomes.
