Touch of a Lover

I still miss the touch of a lover.
Those tips reading me like braille.
Caressing and investigating.
Always arousing without fail.

I still miss the touch of a lover.
It is so cold now in my bed.
I liked to sleep cupped together.
After our clothes were shed.

I still miss the touch of a lover.
One familiar with my desires.
Knowing all the secret places
to set me right on fire.

I still miss the touch of a lover.
It seems he misses me too.
I am so tempted to return.
My body yearns for you.

SUNSHINE!! You always bring me a big smile whenever I see you. I will most likely be making do with the woolly carpet when push comes to shove.

Good use of anaphora. Framing each verse with the musing is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing.............peace!

Hi Richard. So that's what anaphora means? Good to know.

I am sure many can relate and miss the physical contact but not the other issues that cause a relationship to fail .Sending you a big hug:-) Jan xx

Hi Jan. I'm sorry I'm not on here so much these days. My muse went AWOL. She's an imp that one. Hope all is well with you and all your care.

Thank you Eve. My pen is being a bit mean with ink these days. I am hopeful it will flow again soon.

A beautiful slip of the pen Becca. We met seven years ago. The attraction is still vast, as is the distance between us.

Thank you Vijay. I hope you don't mind me using your quote. I always get my spellings wrong. Corrected now.
