Touch
How dismal!
how depressing!
how dejected!
Who are these?
So human like yet unlike?
are they real?
their shabby dirty hair
tattered clothes
Roofless
for mercy they stare
they need us & our care
Muddy unkempt faces
Resemblance to humans is in traces
we need to be fair
we must their sorrows share
their state is laid bare
they need our healing touch
need us to clutch
some have no clothes to wear
women & girls with little to gear
long has been the sultry condition
awaiting nothing
but mercy! ,lives they are loathing
their poverty makes petition
why were they born?
to be jealous of the blessed
to look lusciously at the well dressed
to be left homeless forlorn!
arise to empathize
make them come close to your size!
don’t show apathy
