Throughout the night
A cold black Fortress
Stealing the light
Nothing left to save my soul
So I'll just Rock n Roll!
Total Darkness
Running the show
A cold black Fortress
Won't let my heart go
I was told all out of the womb
But now they're telling me it's time for the tomb
Total Darkness
Keeping my heart
A cold black Fortress
Right from the start
My heart is aching and breaking
I say I'm okay, but I'm faking
Total Darkness
Inside my mind
A cold black Fortress
Can't cross the line
To get back again inside my head
In there I can't escape the Monster I once fed
Total Darkness
Fighting the Moon
A cold black Fortress
Won't let me out too soon
In the night the Full Moon is waxing
And Total Darkness is attacking
Total Darkness
In a stark tower keep
A cold black Fortress
Won't let me rest or sleep
I'm waiting to escape in my dreams
But that seems harder than it seems
Total Darkness
Won't let me out
A cold black Fortress
Will keep me no doubt
I scrape and claw at the tower door
Will I see the sun Nevermore?
Total Darkness
The choice I made
A cold black Fortress
The life I bade
I pray to the Lord above
To take me away to the land I dream of
Total Darkness
Driving me mad
A cold black Fortress
Driving out all sense that I had
Now, I know that I'm up around the bend
But I don't know how all of this will end
Total Darkness
Killing me slowly
A cold black Fortress
That is unholy
The evil that keeps me in here
Will watch me dwindle away and disappear
Total Darkness
But what can I do
A cold black Fortress
Created by you
The love we had has failed
And you my love have set sail
Total Darkness
May someday get you
A cold black Fortress
Has tentacles, it's true
I'm totally locked up in a rusty old cage
Completely tied up in rusty old chains
Total Darkness
Rules with a curse
A cold black Fortress
How could it get worse
Now I've got to think, first things first
To get out of this jail, for freedom I thirst
Total Darkness
Stops me from Poetry Versing
A cold black Fortress
Won't show me mercy
I have to rely on my wit and wisdom
That's the way to escape this evil Kingdom
Total Darkness
Brings me pain
A cold black Fortress
In my brain
I'm trapped in a cell
Forged by my lover's hell
Total Darkness
My mind is growing dark
A cold black Fortress
I need a light spark
Help, I need to stay alive
If not, I'll never survive
Total Darkness
Is this the end?
A cold black Fortress
Where are my friends?
The only thing that will save me is love
That will help me to break free from this tower above
Total Darkness
I know I can win
A cold black Fortress
I have to begin
With the help of my friends
I can beat this thing that's hell sent
Total Darkness
Can no longer hold me
A cold black Fortress
I can break free
With the hope and love of my friends
I am free to love again.
