Tortoise


The tortoise walks slowly through sand
No rush, no needs to understand
All problems with humans around
Just a stop to look from a sound
Carrying curiosity....
with calm moving steps it can see
The world low to ground  where it goes,
It only carries what it knows
As the sun beats down on its shell
It shows confidence all is well

Dear Heidi, You just have to love our turtles and they can show us many ways to live our lives. I go to Ocean City, NJ, throughout the summer, and many times I see turtles crossing the streets going from the bay to the ocean to the bay. I will pick them up to move them safely across the road since drivers do not always slow down or drive around them. Well-written metaphors of life. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
