Torn Faith
Taught to obey
Forced to follow
The perfection of self
Mistakes are unexceptable
Preached daily into our minds
Broken rules
Of those hidden desires
Or those curious urges
Ment to feel dirty
Yet still they felt good somehow
Lessons of virtue
Gave you innocence
Purity of the soul
Never to be tarnished
For goodness is the only option
Corruptive ways
Tempted to bend our wills
Wanting to taste the sin
To be bed for awhile
Lesons of virtue
Will be your faith
Deaf to unbelievers
Blind to images of proof
Deprieved of wickedness entirly
Taught to obey
Never to question
The growing nudges
Or hidden wants
These things must be ignored
Trusted to follow
And always remember
What's right and what's wrong
Making each desision
One that gets approval
Torn between
What you've been told
And what is unknown
Stay where you belong
Never stray beyond
This I must repeat
In my mind, In my thoughts
Even with endless promises
On the other end, I know
It's only an bitter end
After it's all done
