Too Young

He's still too young to let go of his handgun,
Cuz video games made him feel he should have one,
The will was a way to get lost in a story,
Animated themes filled with dreams but no glory...
She's still too young to say no but not maybe,
Never passed math but she's counting her babies,
The afternoon soaps kept her dreaming of marriage,
What she got was false hopes now its her and a carriage...
They're still too young to be mothers and fathers,
A feat for some so why do they even bother,
They've gotten so numb they don't see the illusion,
That the answers that come never have a conclusion...
A generation bound by the sins of another,
It used to be the father but these days its the brother,
Watching as they drown in the sea of unknowing,
Looking up when its down like they know where they're going...
