Too Sad Too Cry

Too sad to cry My eyes stay dry Even though my heart breaks What I read I can't conceive The many lives wars take. Why should others care They are not there Away from all the strife Parents die Without saying goodbye To their kith and kin Why should we care We are not there Amongst the betrayal and sin. We rest our heads In our comfortable beds Without any thought of others. We should care Although not there It could be our fathers and mothers.

The USA still tops the list by killing more civilians with atomic bombs, yet only Japan seems concerned with such devastation as the rest of the world moves on to create newer weapons of mass destruction. Government hesitate to build affordable housing knowing it is so easily destroyed! "Too sad to cry", indeed! Aloha!

After "The war games" end, there are no winners, both sides have war damage to pay for, and this stops progress in many arrears. ( it's a no-win situation)

We read about so many horrors in our newspapers and see it on TV that we have become somewhat numb to it. Frustration too that we can't do anything to change it. Tom

Thank you, Tom. I agree; when you think that it can't get any worse, it does; that's when the frustration sets in and the numbness are needed to stop you from losing it altogether. Take care. Shirley
