Too Late

Too late to play daddy,
When your children are almost middle –aged.
Too late to act right,
When your debts are too much to be paid.
Too late to be a mom,
To a kid you never raised.
Too late to start over,
Especially right now,
To be a good parent,
And your parents never taught you how.

Thought provoking poem and quite realistic, because many do experience the neglect of parents or their absence. I agree with that. But it is never too late to appologize and try to be there when the children have children until your life ends. Then it is too late. Thanks for sharing a truthful write. Best wishes, Caroline.
