Tonight I Have To Go

Locked behind a chain linked fence
With the keys to my freedom in hand
I'll wait until the pale moonlight
To plan my ultimate escape

It shouldn't really be that hard
It's been in my heart for years
I'll use the thick blanket of night
To calm all of my minds fears

Tonight's the night I must go
I feel it in my bones
My soul she has spoken to me
Tonight I leave alone

Other journeys wait for me
I have been here such a long time
My spirit yearns for freedom
Underneath this moonlit sky
