Tonight a Breeze Is Stirring

Hot as blazes summer days
  die gasping for breath
A hazy curtain of humidity
  stifles the earth to death

But tonight a breeze is stirring
injecting life in the air, so
I bid adieu to my steaming house
and went to sleep out there

In Greece a great majority of houses have a flat roof, families lock up the house and go upstairs under the starry sky, with a mosquito can, to avoid the heat of a home. Well penned Gershon. Hugs, blessings, Jennifer.

Ah, that seems a wise choice. I remember those days before A/C when we would sleep out on a blanket out in the yard. The cool mountain air was so pleasant. Those were the days, my friend....

I can't seem to sleep without my fan even though my bedroom in downstairs in the basement. I still need the air moving. Nice job. God Bless, JB

I am so thankful to have air-conditioning or a fan. We have centipedes here so sleeping outside doesn’t appeal to me. They are very creative at getting inside. I certainly remember those long hot summer nights. Very good Gershon. Blessings xxoo
