Tonight

I feel the distance between us tonight
Miles not mentioned but thoughts are dark
Creeping away from comfort and light
My heart's in reverse,my soul's in park

Wish you'd see what I do tonight
Words you shower upon my pain
Still,arms reach with all their might
Begging for your kindness again

If you could read my kiss tonight
Would you be moved enough to stay
Within my touch,within my sight
Or find that I was in your way?

I feel the darkness in me tonight
Undeniable pain and confusion
It's not a picture of wrong or right
Simply a painting of love's illusion
