Tongue and Cheek
It is the rudder of the ship in steering the entire vessel
In the compelling of each lip to be candid as they tell
As small as the tongue may be and so rarely is it ever seen
But you must also agree that it can often be so mean
It defines your inner most self so often preceding you
So rarely is it ever stealth giving all an insightful view
Each is different in it's way but all reveal what is inside
Some will learn how to pray while others indulge in pride
Be so weary of this weapon and know of it's strength
Yet perfect there was only One who lasted life's length
Every word born out of love every word revealing His Heart
For as He was looking above maybe it's time for all of us to start
Bear not false witness and above all honor His Name
Speak as if you are to bless and life will never be the same
For with the Lord now aboard and in turn setting your course
You can now come to an accord in knowing this inner source
