Tomorrows News
I need to lay down and close my eyes,
So I can drift off into the night.
My mind it keeps racing,
Like mixed puzzles with pieces that don’t fit right.
This may be an admission of fear,
It doesn’t mean that I am a coward.
Yes there’s something here,
That feels so strange.
No I can’t find the answers,
With so much here rearranged.
Honey I know it’s hard.
When we feel broken down.
I don’t think we are that far apart.
We just need to look around.
There can always be a fresh new start.
It’s just there looking to be found.
Look how we would get lost in each other’s arms.
How we spoke so much without making a sound.
Had all these crazy dreams wrapped in my heart,
They all seemed to revolve around you.
I also know how things slip away and fall apart.
Was there anything left I could do?
I know the easy thing is if we both just walk away,
I see the streets littered with those blues.
Are we just statistics written on the next page?
I’m not sure if I want to read that news.
I just have to let you know.
If this is going to be our last day.
That some of the pieces to this mixed up puzzle,
Will always belong with you to forever stay.
Honey I know it’s hard.
When we feel broken down.
I don’t think we are that far apart.
We just need to look around.
There can always be a fresh new start.
It’s just there looking to be found.
Look how we would get lost in each other’s arms.
How we spoke so much without making a sound.
