Tomorrow Was
Echoes of tomorrow dance around my brain
Songs of joy and sorrow mixed in love and pain
Marriages of feelings swirling intertwined
Promises repeating as waking dreams unwind
A sip of morning coffee to fortify my mind
All casually forgotten as I face the daily grind
