Tomorrow never comes

Tomorrow never comes
When you're dreaming of a way
To focus on a future
Along the path from yesterday

We're rushing for tomorrow
The better days to come
But while we focus forward
We miss the rays of sun

We do not hear the birdsong
Or listen to the sea
We do not take these moments
When its just you and me

The years when you are growing
Will soon be in the past
The seeping of the knowledge
Some day will be my last

Stop the constant turning
Slow down and hold the days
Of holding you so closely
Of laughter in the haze

Stay a little longer
Hold my hand once more
Let's go back to the past times
And stay forevermore
