Tomorrow

If tomorrow knew me
would it bypass the wrongs of yesterday
dressing me in linen
My wings would be that of eagles
soaring high
moving with the wind
 In the eyes of tomorrow
my dreams are pure
as are my chances
 Free from judgment
from those that place themselves on high
hate would never sup here
If tomorrow gives me a name
it would be wonderful
full of beauty
full of grace
 But today holds me down
reminding me of yesterday
refusing to let it fade
