Tomb of Broken Hearts

My soul is slowly dying
From the silence I must endure
A heart that's sealed with sorrow
From a rancid love, once pure

My thoughts have all betrayed me
They endlessly attack my mind
My memories have all vanished
And no solace shall I find

Compassion is now my enemy
It haunts me while I sleep
My heart, wounded by rejection
A piercing pain so deep

My smile becomes an orphan
With no place to call it's home
My tears, my only company
They come when I'm alone

Time has no beginning
It ends before it starts
Locked here in this prison
A tomb of broken hearts

Very sad. To cheer up read a couple of your mother-in-law tributes!
