Tomato Plight 2009

Through my sweat and toil
I plant with hopes of bounty
Defeated by plight

I'm laughing a little on this one. Go read my recent poem, "I Want to be a Farmer. I think you will appreciate the dry humor. Love you, Laura. (Call me.) Love, Dane Ann

Wonderful, descriptive and a great use of plight. Your poetry always makes me pause and think. I love that aspect of your work.

Sure hope your 2010 tomato crop receives mother nature's blessings. Terrific haiku, Laura! (My tomatoes are doing well, thanks to ample water.) Love, Carolyn

Those tomatoes have that wilt now ....The fungus is in the soil and the tomatoes don't have resistance to it...Sad to do all that work and they die just about time they start to produce...We have even planted them in potting soil that should be disease free and they still die....If this is for the garden contest..Good luck..Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work...

The title caught my attention. I think most will relate to your words. If this is for the gardening contest, best wishes. Karen
