The Old Ladies Mouse.
Tippie - toe - tip -toe tiny footprints in the snow.
"Whose are they?
We ask, does anybody know?"
"Well I heard tell, says one old man
They belong to yonder house.
That those tiny little footprints belong to little mouse.
Well they've been living there for years now
and no-ones ever said."
"Doesn't that old lady have a cat?"
"No said the man I do believe it's dead.
That dear old lady who lives in that small house
is best of friends with Tiny her mouse.
She feeds him on cake, cheese and bread.
Well she has ever since she found her cat was dead.
So that dear old lady will not be alone
she befriended a mouse and gave him a home.
There are nights when I'm passing by that small house
I hear song and laughter from the old lady and mouse."
