Together Through the Years

Together through the years......
     you have traveled not only hand in hand,
     but side by side,
     soaking up the knowledge 
      and wisdom 
     from experiences and happenings
     which the sands of time have sent 
     drifting into your path
     on your journey through life.

Together through the years......
     you have watched and endured
     the temperament of mother natures' emotions
     as she:  watered you blossoming
     flowers with tears both of joy and sorrow;
     sent lightening showers of furry
     down to open the eyes of those
     who have forgotten
     she can take care of her own;
     and warmed the hearts and souls of many
     as she hung the sun brightly in the sky.

Together through the years......
     you have traveled many roads
     and walked on many paths.
     You have shared laughter
     and tears, triumph and sorrow.
     It has been 50 years
     and you have traveled together,
     lovingly side by side,
     together through the years.
