Together Forever

Together Forever?

Whatever Became of You and Me?
The Part We Called "Together"?
When We Started as a Pair,
I Thought We'd Be Forever.

But Something Slipped Away,
Slowly Erased by Time.
Now I Feel out of Sorts
And You're No Longer Mine.

Oh, You're Still Here with Me,
And Everything Looks the Same.
We Go Through All the Motions
And Our Name Is Still the Same.

But Where Is My Sense of Belonging,
To No One Else but You?
It's Something I Don't Understand,
But I Also Know It's True.

We Can't Go on like This.
I Need Love That Lasts Forever.
If We Can't Work this Out,
We Cannot Stay Together.
