Together Against To the Odds

Together Against the Odds Though I may be poor, My love for her is rich and pure, She may have other boys in store, But I know her heart is mine, for sure. We've been together for more than three years, And my love for her has only grown with tears, But she says I cannot walk with me, As society may frown upon our unity. Her eyes are red and dark with sorrow, As I know that our love may not have a tomorrow, I feel shy and sad to hear her say, That we cannot be together in every way. Money may be something we lack, But our love is not something we can easily pack, We may not need fancy gifts or sweet honey, For our love is enough, it is never too funny. I wish we could fly away and be free, To love each other openly and with glee, But society's chains hold us down, Making us feel like we will drown. Still, I will love him till the end of time, For she is the one who makes my heart chime, Our love may face challenges and strife, But with him, I know I will live a happy life.
