Today the Calendar Has Something To Say

Upon hanging a new set
  up on my wooden cabinet
I put red marks on the days that was meaningfully done

Where I count the numbers
from the first number that is one
down from the last possible day that is the number thirty-one

Where I wait for the long years
to pass all the things that caused me fears
starting from the weeks up to the very short days

It was still vivid in my mind
where there are colorful fireworks you will find
A new year starting on a happy January

It was a sunny day in February
and all people were very happy
for it was the month of love for all to share

I am nervous this month of March
for I am on the stage for a ballet dance
yet I am very happy because sharing my talents was a chance

Sadness was within my heart this April
  when my favorite grandpa died
it was a gray morning when all of us cried

Wedding day the traditional way
  My aunt was glowing
that month of May love was overflowing

You're all invited this 23rd of July
  because it was my birthday
lots of foods and balloons are on your way

Days and months had passed and now it's December
Christmas lights are bright and the nights are cold
It is the season for great storied to be told

Upon seeing this old and dusty calendar
things from the past came back onto my sight
memories that are bad or good and dark or light

All are special and will always be a part of me
even I bought a new one today
I'll keep this old one to be remembered everyday
