Today Might Be

I’m happy that today might be A day that’s mostly worry-free, Where not a soul depends on me To do a gosh-darned thing. I’ll read and solve the puzzle page Or watch a movie or engage In conversations to assuage The stress to which I cling. There’s no place that I have to go, So all my actions can be slow And I can stay indoors and know The peace such days can bring.

I love those kinds of days! Though idleness for its own sake does not appeal to me. I have to keep busy, be it a bit of shopping, baking something tasty, preparing tomorrow's meal, or keeping up with my French on the Internet and, of course writing or editing. / Maurice

These are the days that show us ways of how our youthful heart still plays. It's not that we are all just lazy. But rather, how time passes hazy. And when our days are finally done. These are the days when we know we won.
