Today and Time Past

TODAY AND TIME PAST

I feel the wind SWEEP up the brae:
SWEEP I my gaze into far ago.
FAR the stars of Christmas are, long away
CHRISTMAS some two thousand years or so.

YEAR’S darkest evening is here.
HERE is my family - safe from harm.
FAMILY hands reach for the warming fire,
HANDS at travail in this hill farm.

Thanks for participating in my contest. It's alright if you have written in rhyme.
