Today

Hidden behind dim skies faintly creeping forward
Peaking slyly beyond the darkness carefully erasing the shadows
Watch the blackness quietly fade, from blinded views eventually
Night falls into a slumber uncovering a blanket as it dreams
Revealing what's beneath, on the otherside

All still sleeps soundly, as dawn silently emerges
Were awoken unexcpectedly, lying motionless upon our beds
With open eyes we regain all senses
Taking in deep calming breaths of the early morning air
The wind whispers the arrival of another day
Announcing that yesterday has ended
With the rising sun, the night is surly gone
Becoming the past

Surrounded by darkness tonight the sky is tinted
Transparent glows suspended from underneath pale moon
Amoungst the twinkle and glitter, its barely noticed
For starlight fills an empty space
Taking away any gazing eyes
