Today

It's lightly
raining
outside

And the birds
are chirping
in the trees.

The one
she loves is
in slumber

She wants to
awaken him

But she knows
that she
can not.

Sweet senses stir of moistness in the air.

she loves
it when it
rains, for it
sooths her
so.

A light
afternoon snack
is her soda
and cigarettes.

She has
thoughts of waking
up her love

But fear of
the beast
resides
in her.

It is lightly
chilly out,
so she will
go inside

Then who
knows what
will come
next.
