To Write a Wrong

I come here when I’m in despair And don’t know what to do. I can’t get over all the pain And grief of losing you. There seems that there is little now That I can say or do I’ll just take up my only weapon And point it straight at you. With one or two creative strokes I’ll do what need be done I’ll rid my soul of memories That tell me you are gone. I’ll find solace in your absence And to myself be true. And when I lay this pen down. I’ll be over losing you. Written by John Posey 3/23/13

This sounds exactly like what I do! I believe that writing poetry can be very therapeutic, it has sure helped me get through some tough times. I loved this poem, and I loved the flow of the words with the rhymes. Very well done!...Would you give me your opinion on one of my new poems? It is titled, "Passionate". Thank you!

I love how simple and straight forward the piece is and also great use of rhyme. I enjoy a universal sentiment and a mutual human experience that connects us all together. Well done; kudos :)

Thanks for the kudos, Debbie. This one was strictly fictional... I'm sure, though, that it fit many circumstances... Jake

Thanks Anne. Don't fret. This is the result of some creative juices sparked by Carol's contest, "Who, What, Where......."..... Jake
