To Winston

Death standing
at attention
for a fated
reveille
Which trumpets
through
the darkest cloud
to rain down liberty

Each bayonet
he wills in place
with fearlessness
empowered
A call to arms
through hill and dale
to launch
‘His Finest Hour’
