To Whom I Once Trusted

I lay my mind naked to you
Everything I say is true
A secret I sealed for you and me
The truth hush you should keep

I poured my heart out open to read
All the blood and pain I seep
Lock away with the key I gave
Only for you to throw away

The day it's slip out to another
Not knowing it me you smother
For now I become trapped inside
My secrets you I don't confide

For when you rained down my words
Around you I become alert
Of what I strip from my mouth
And everything I tell you about
