To Those We Leave Behind
Since we never really know - just how much time we're given.
It's a good thing to make the most of it - while we're still living!
Before it becomes my time - to leave this Earth and go.
These words of wisdom upon you - I'm going to bestow!
Listen carefully to what people say - your buttons not to trigger.
Don't allow them to force you - to lose your temper!
Don't let the last words you say to others - be those of anger.
Whether it is Family, Friends, or even a complete stranger!
It's too late to take back the words you say.
So it's best to watch them closely - before they get away!
Also watch how you say them - and your body language too.
It's really important to watch all the things you do!
Most people hold a grudge - time passes - and they decide to make it right.
Not knowing the person they're looking for - has went into the light!
People also forget that what we say and do - has an impact on those that
we're around.
Personally I believe that we should - let Love and Happiness abound!
I sincerely hope that those who read this - take these words to heart.
It's never too late in Life - to make a fresh start!
And remember - when my life does reach its end.
You can always come back to Poetry Soup - and read these words again!!!
