To the Young People Who Share My House

I will conjecture
And give you a lecture
Is it better to complain?
Or preferably explain?

Should I talk you through it?
Or just tell you to do it?
If you listened first time round
Ranting words won't compound

I give you a tongue lashing
A noisy ear bashing
But you still don't hear me say
"JUST PUT IT AWAY"

So do it right first
And your bubble I won't burst
And I will not conjecture
Or give you a lecture.

My mother would love this. As an adult living with parents, this never changes. And no, I still won't remember. Lovely poem.
