To the Stars

Have you ever found yourself
        befuddled and dazed
staring up at the night sky, looking
        for the words to say
what it is you feel about
        the splendor of the stars
planets, moons, galaxies
and the truth of who you are?

A molecule of mystery
        an ocean full of dreams
a parade of pristine potential
        waiting to be seen
somewhere in the hallowed halls
        between love and deep despair
you find your place
        and see the face
of Beauty way up there...

And soon enough find solace
in the beating of your heart
despite feeling like a grain of sand
        you're Someone's work of art
treading on this beach of wonder
        the shoreline of your life
feeling more connected now
To the stars in this dark night.

I apologize for not reading these lovely lines sooner, Terry. I loved all three verses, the second being my favorite.

Hello again my poetic friend, your apology is certainly not needed but your kind thoughts are more welcomed than you will ever know. Might you be an angel in disguise? Terry
