To the Moon and Back

Face on the moon looking on me

Whose face is it that I see

No name, perhaps, but the face i see

I see you smile down on me

I know it's so, I know it sounds crazy

Though I see the image a little hazy

My friend, I see in the face on the moon

Perhaps coming up to see you closer might be too soon

Yet all I think of when I see your grin

Is getting us back together again

Is it odd, or irrational to think

If it's you, give me a wink

Give me a sign, a simple gesture

The distance is great, I know it's so

I will wait for the sun to come up, than time for me to go

But fear not, I shall see you tomorrow night

It may sound insane, but the love feels so right
