To the Lands Unknown
I slowly move towards a mount,
beyond which lies a devil's lake—
The lake of death.
Perhaps it is girdled with flowers,
where redbreasts croon in mournful tunes—
The lake of God.
Then it might be a childish fear
to meet lost people over there—
A lake unknown.
