To the Joy that Life brings
Written for the wounded man. May he find his way out of the Darkness.
To the Joy that Life brings

There he sits
Beside the fire
Watching his TV
And escaping his life
Meaningless moments
Avoidance of self
The wounded man
Refusing all help
Heartbroken and angry
Heart closed down in Fear
Hope and Faith rejected
He won't shed any tears
The Darkness envelops
Takes hold in his Soul
Will he ever find the Light again?
And make his World whole?
To a time-space continuum
Where Hope is restored
No longer trapped in emotions
That he's trying to avoid
Knowing Time heals
Is not helpful to him
He wants to fast forward
To where pain no longer wins
Where he'll walk in his garden
Feel the sun on his skin
Enjoy the Springtime
And blossom again
Warm his cold heart
After the long Winter freeze
And open himself up
To the Joy that Life brings
