To the First Woman In My Life
You carried me with strength
Into the world with so much joy;
You gave me love when I was a baby
And tender care while I was a boy.
You taught me all is possible
And to do all things that I can;
You guided me through childhood
To mature and become a man.
Now I remember you today
And how you have stayed the same-
Tender, loving and caring
Bringing honor to your name.
I love you for who you are
And thank you for all you do;
You are the most beautiful mother.
The first woman in my life was you.
