To the Beach
Sky so unmarred this torrid day,
That, to the beach, let’s make our way!
To the beach, to the beach,
Where we’ll watch sea oats sway
And glad toddlers at play,
Where we’ll hear ospreys screech,
Lying clear of tide’s reach
Cooled in sea breeze all day—
Yes, off to the beach,
Where, your bikini you’ll flaunt
As, on waves, sunbeams glitter
While sand castles rise
And we cavort in chill surf:
Oh, the beach beckons today.
