To Tell a Truth

Sometimes the truth is difficult
The price thats paid quite dear
Its often things quite personal
That people don't want to hear

Sometimes it hurts to know it
And even more to share
Because the truth can mend or it can
destroy
A belief that is already there

So when I confess a truth to you
I beg you not to walk away
Because the hardest thing I'm telling you
I hope will make you stay.

Well said Shelley. Truth is a sharp double edged sword. In the right hands (with love) it can heal. In the wrong hands (with malice) it can wound.
