To Someone Special
TO SOMEONE SPECIAL
I’d like to write a little verse
For a person close to me
Who’s been a friend for so long now
We’ve become legendary.
There’s a time in every person’s life
When they meet a special friend
Their friendship grows through thick and thin
And remains true until the end.
They’re the one that’s always there for you
For the good times and the bad
They’re a shoulder you can cry on,
When you’re lonely, down and sad.
And when you celebrate the good times
They’ll be right there by your side
Be it concert, party or a barbeque,
They’ll be coming for the ride.
And as the years just roll on by
And you go your separate ways
The friendship that you both have built
Never dies or fades, it stays.
So my friend, I’ve wrote this verse
And it’s especially for you
To say thank you for being there
You’ve been loyal, good and true.
