To Serve and Protect

The main highway runs through Tinyville
Writing tickets gives its police force a thrill

As easy income the fines just can’t be beat 
A cop hides behind a sign on its main street

Anybody who’s “Not from around here”
To commit a traffic violation better fear

It’s how the mayor and council get pay
So “Stick it to ‘em” is what they say

If, with anger, any of them should burn
They say public safety is the only concern

If the hapless victim continues to pitch a fit
The cop offers a discount for a cash remit

If Tinyville happens to be on your route
You’ll likely learn what it’s all about

Elton Camp December 6, 2012 at 7:34 PM I had in mind the hamlet of Littleville, Alabama which is just 5 miles north of us on Hwy 43. We have to pass through there to reach the metropolitan shopping area and have learned to be very careful. Elton
