Tail-Rhyme
A Tail-Rhyme is a type of poem that has a very specific structure. In short, the piece begin with either a couplet or a triplet of lines that consist of rhymed lines. This set of either a couplet or triplet is then followed by a "tail", which is a third or fourth line that does not rhyme with the couplet or triplet that preceded it. This tail line tends to be shorter in length.

When a black man has a knee pressed against his throat police brutality has no known antidote. He can't breathe, cut no slack. Though obviously choking, they ignored his plea and the cop kept pressing his full weight on that knee. His hands cuffed in the back. People watched in horror as his life was snuffed out all they could do for George Floyd was stand there and shout. He died ‘cause he was black. With the pure injustice of it all in its tale, shows us the way, whether it be the lesson of the brutal truth or the lesson of a tail-rhyme, you used it to its full force, good on you, blessings, be with you, Emile . . .

also I am noticing that strict syllable count does not seem to matter, as long as the syllable counts are almost the same for lines 1 and 2 and then shorter for line 3. Please will you soupmail me if I got that wrong?

Hi Andrea, I see nowhere in the definition that calls for a specific syllable count but the tail should be consistent at about half of the other lines...I prefer a set syllable count myself but it isn't mandatory (this poem uses 12 12 6), Emile.
