To Overcome Inertia
An object, once it’s resting tends to stay there, it is true.
Forgetting its priorities and all it needs to do.
To be a man in motion, a dream of awesome bliss…
To be a force that no one can resist…
To overcome inertia and not lie there where I fell.
To shake free of my shackles and break out of my shell.
It seems the hardest thing to do for ordinary men.
To overcome inertia and get moving once again.
Life will knock you over, leave its tread marks on your face.
To lie there in the muck and murk can seem a sad disgrace.
To break the laws of gravity, we all yearn for the sky.
To free ourselves, forget our fear to fly…
To overcome inertia and not lie there where I fell.
To shake free of my shackles and break out of my shell.
It seems the hardest thing to do for ordinary men.
To overcome inertia and get moving once again.
So get up and get moving!
Baby steps are better than to take no steps at all.
So get up and get moving!
If you find you cannot walk then crawl!
An object, once it’s moving, should keep moving on its way.
Head into tomorrow, not be stuck in yesterday.
To be a man in motion, all my dreams are made of this:
To be a force that no one can resist…
To overcome inertia and not lie there where I fell.
To shake free of my shackles and break out of my shell.
It seems the hardest thing to do for ordinary men.
To overcome inertia and get moving once again.
