To My Yet Unborn
TO MY YET UNBORN
To my yet unborn, I must say this to you
You will experience a world so unlike mine
Much of it a computer generated scene
Old leadership and sagacity from books
Will no longer be quite as it first looks
Printed words, even if displayed onscreen
An A.I heritage regularly crossing the line
But all of this I‘ll wish to never come true
Growing into a different way of thinking
You’ll never realise what could have been
A handshake conveying a mark of trust
Identity as who you are, and how you act
There may be little left that’s real, in fact
Remember my words, but do as you must
The world of tomorrow won’t be so green
And watch out if the lights start blinking
