To My Son

               To My Son
My Darling new baby You are perfect and right
I gave birth to you just before night
I looked in your eyes and felt nothing but love
Lying cradled I thanked the Heavens above
You were a Joy, A Treasure and much more
You are my son, my boy  I adore.

My Darling young son just look what you've done
You've climbed up a tree  just for some fun
What will we do  I cant get you down
I'll phone for your dad he must be around.
How did you get there in the first place?
Oh dont tell me you'd to win that race.

My Darling son just look what you've done
Your rooms to be cleaned! This is no time to run
Slow down a bit you'll have  the job twice
And both of us know  that's not very nice.
I'll give you a hand, I always do
But one of these days it'll be just you.

My Darling young man just look what you've done
Grown up all  handsome and a wonderful son
I'll cherish our moments right in my heart
Because I'm your mum right from the start
You've trained as a Pilot and aimed for the sky.
My precious son this is no time to die.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
