To My Nemesis
You were mean to me in public,
And you thought you had gotten by with it.
Because I did not scream or rant.
On social media I did not throw a fit.
In other ways, I got you back
For calling me mean words, for insinuating I’m a hack.
But you have not figured it out yet.
I gloat in secret, running to my safety net.
You may figure it out today, or maybe not at all
But I have the satisfaction of standing right and tall
Because you were the meanie who made the bad moves
And I am the hippie child with the cool vibe grooves.
I have my admirers, my followers and such
How much time do I waste on you? Not very much.
