To My Lover

This place reminds me
As you were watching me first time.
I opened my mouth to tell you
"I am fine".

I remember the lights turning
Into blurs of blazing fire
When your hand went tight
Around mine.

You feel my heart is beating
and i can barely breath 'cause
your hand is still gripping mine

it's all was just a deception
you left my soul in distruption
and the evil's only by my side.

Love's gone, it shows it's dark sides.
Red, blue, green colours of my life
Are all back, but turned black in a time
Love's gone, no fire....

A lovely poem, the promise and excitement shines through in the beginning and then it all ends so hopelessly . Well done

I think it is fairly common to feel conned unfortunately when love breaks down, you captured the mood of the emotion extremely well in your poem I felt, Rachel
