To my kids, don't be a God who
What a bunch of hypocrites down here,
Acting as if He's not there.
He sends trouble to get our attention,
And their first reaction is prayer.
When the trouble goes away,
Any thoughts about him does too.
Someone grateful says "Thank God"
While the ungrateful say "God who???"
Let the same God-denier's child get sick,
Or lose someone they loved.
They have the nerve to say "All is well,
They are now with God above."
But God word says "He's not mocked."
And we each will reap what we sow.
He set aside for us Heaven & Hell,
Be sure you know where you'll go!
Creatures must quit playing games with their Creator,
While daily rolling the dice.
One day to them God will come calling,
And He will demand the God-who's life.
There is a clause in the contract for all,
That allows us all to get right.
God came here himself, took on our penalty,
You know the name, It's Jesus Christ!
Now just because we say the sinners prayer,
That don't mean we can live anyway.
We still are required to read our bible,
And make an effort to do as it say.
