To My Father

Should n't I feel so sad, when my father is dead Should I feel Like others? Clearly knowing their fathers dead They were truly happy at each moment I saw them, It seemed that their fathers would not die ever This made me jealous, felt no funny by too hard to accept The fact is that everybody dies and everybody is born with a cry Cry, cry for appearing and cry for goodbye Until no seen in nowhere, out of eyesight, Left a father be felt by heart, even without sunlight

I feel this expresses a common struggle in times of loss: "Shouldn't I feel like others?"... But I've realized- there is no one way to grieve... Relationships are complicated and sometimes it is impossible to make sense of all we feel. I am sorry for your loss. This is a touching and beautiful poem. I love the line "Cry, cry for appear and cry for goodbye". I'd never thought of this before.
